COMBINED GAUSSIAN FILTERING, DWT AND MORPHOLOGICAL APPROACH FOR SATELLITE IMAGE ENHANCEMENT

Abstract: In this paper, a method for satellite image enhancement using Gaussian filtering, DWT and morphological filtering is proposed. Gaussian filtering is applied for noise removal of the image. The DWTt is used to transform image based on frequency. Morphological filtering is used for retaining the originality of the image and quality. It is observed from the simulation results that the PSNR value is high and MSE is low
