IMPACT OF SOLAR RADIATION AND TEMPERATURE LEVELS ON THE VARIATION OF THE SERIES AND SHUNT RESISTORS IN PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULES
Mohamad Arnaout, Wassim Salameh, Ali Assi
Abstract: It is well-known that the efficiency of silicon-based photovoltaic modules decreases with temperature. This paper discusses the variation of series and shunt resistances of PV modules with temperature which affect their efficiencies. A tool, “MY PV TOOL”, has been developed to help in simulating the variations of series and shunt resistances for different levels of solar radiation and temperature using experimental measurements as well as theoretical equations of the PV module
