Abstract: Global energy consumption is increasing rapidly due to increase in world’s population and changes in their living standards. Most of this energy comes from fossil fuels. The burning of these fossil fuels lead to emission of Green House Gases (GHG) causing global warming. This paper introduces the impact of power electronics to reduce the global warming and to utilising the renewable sources.
