Abstract: In this paper, the ultimate strength analysis of the box girders under combined load is investigated using a commercial FEA program, ABAQUS. It studies the ultimate strength analysis of the Reckling No. 23 box girders model. This paper mainly analyzes the influence of the ultimate strength of the box girders model under hogging bending moment, torque moment and water pressure simultaneously. In next step, laying a foundation for accounting the ultimate strength of the actual ship model
