Abstract: Determination of mass moments of inertia of aircraft during the early stages of design is of great importance for the sizing of control surfaces and the evaluation of the dynamic characteristics. In the article are reviewed the problems of the analytic calculation of mass moments of inertia of an unmanned air vehicle at the conceptual design stage, of their automated determination with a CAD/CAMcodeatthedetaileddesignstageandoftheirmeasurementafterexperimentalmodelsareproduced.A comparison is made of the accuracy of the different methods.
